Oasis Is Reuniting And Most Likely Coming To Toronto, According To Oddsmakers At FanDuel Canada

Liam Gallagher of Oasis performs on stage in Finsbury Park, on July 6th 2002, London, England.

The Gallagher brothers’ souls might’ve slipped away from them for a bit (15 years, to be exact). Still, after all that time spent feuding in the tabloids and the never-ending rumours of new albums, late-night get-togethers, and everything in between, the boys set aside their differences for a party-filled reunion tour. For now, it’s for a few dates in Ireland and the UK in 2025, but experts say don’t be surprised if there’s an extensive world tour to follow. As such, the sportsbooks are rolling with it, and Canadians are getting the chance to make some memorable novelty bets, especially if they cash.

Oasis is coming to Toronto?!?!

Usually, when a big band gets back together, it’s almost a lock that fans in Ontario will wonder if that band will do a show in Toronto, whether that means rocking the stage at the Rogers Centre, stealing the Scotiabank Arena away from the Leafs for a night or two, or taking in the view of the lake before setting Budweiser Stage on fire. Most times, you can’t actually bet on it, but this time, it’s mother-flipping Oasis; you know some online sportsbook will have odds on it.

FanDuel Canada jumped right on that bandwagon. In its “Special Bets” section, the sportsbook has two Oasis-related offerings up for the taking. The first being:

Will Oasis play a concert in Toronto?

YES -430

NO +280

According to the sportsbook, the “YES” bet wins if Oasis announces one or more concert dates in Toronto, Ontario, before January 2026.

Digging deeper, the YES -430 odds imply an 81.13% chance that Oasis will play a show in Toronto. That said, if we Monday morning quarterback this thing for a second, the 6ix might not be a “lock” to host arguably one of the greatest bands of its era.

The last time Oasis played in Toronto, Noel Gallagher was assaulted by a fan onstage. In a Toronto court hearing after the incident took place in 2008, Gallagher said, “I would describe the sudden impact and shock as feeling as if I had been hit by a bus.”

For context, the attacker, British-born Danny Sullivan, jumped onstage and aggressively shoved Noel into a massive stack of speakers. According to fans attending the concert, the sight was gnarly, and the impact could be heard throughout the venue. Judging from our own eyes, it looked like a full-on “Big Hit Stick” tackle that you’d see in the latest iteration of the Madden video game.

Since the incident, Noel Gallagher has played shows with his solo band in Toronto. The venues he played weren’t the biggest and could be easily secured. Nevertheless, the guitarist has been said to fear big crowds in Toronto, especially the type of crowd he’d see if Oasis played at the Rogers Centre. If that’s indeed the case, there’s the possibility Noel could ask to skip Toronto and do a big show at The O in Montreal instead. And, if we’re being honest, there’s no guarantee Oasis does a world tour.

That NO +280 ain’t looking too bad if you look at things from that perspective. Of course, as the Aussie rockers AC/DC might say, “Money talks.” Noel will have to suck it up and take one for the team. There’s too much dough to leave on the table by passing up on Toronto. Playing devil’s advocate, rock n’ rollers are a different breed. Anything is possible. Sometimes, some things trump the 30 pieces of silver. After all, if money is truly king in the music industry, why haven’t David Gilmour and Roger Waters hashed things out after all these years?

Moving along.

Oasis opening song

FanDuel Canada also offered another bet:

Oasis First Song

Rock n Roll Star -125

Cigarettes & Alcohol +750

Lyla +900

Half The World Away +900

Shakermaker +1300

Supersonic +1300

Stand By Me +1300

Hello +1300

Swamp Song +1600

Pretty Boy +1600

Wonderwall +2400

Turn Up The Sun +2400

The Hindu Times +2400

Be Here Now +2600

Go Let It Out +2600

Don’t Look Back in Anger +3700

Live Forever +3700

According to its rules, the bet cashes by being “the first song according to setlist.fm for the Oasis Live Tour on July 4th, 2025.” For those who don’t know, setlist.fm is a website that records the songs a band plays during a show. For example, when Blink 182 played the Rogers Centre earlier this summer, the pop-punk megastars opened the show with “Feeling This.” As such, it has been noted on the setlist pictured below:

We’re not going to lie; if there was an option to bet “Morning Glory,” we’d be all over that one, no matter the odds. That would be a killer song to open Oasis’ first show back. Add some top-grade pyro and helicopter CGI on the big screens to boot, and you’ve got the makings of a legendary set. Not to mention, the ROI on that bet would be insane. “Rock n Roll Star” seems too easy to pick. It doesn’t encapsulate the moment or set the mood right in our books.

Beggars can’t be choosers, though.

OASIS IS BACK!
