NHL Games on Monday, December 4th

---|---|---|---|---|

Rest Notes: Everyone is coming off of a single day off. That doesn’t mean there aren’t a few caveats, though, as Montreal hosts Seattle while playing their fourth game in six days, and Washington heads to Arizona for their own fourth in six.

There are slight, one-day mismatches of rest in all but two of these games – LAK/CBJ and NSH/CHI are the only ones that are evenly matched on the rest front.

1 | Carolina Hurricanes | 9:30 PM | Edmonton Oilers | 5 |
Rest Notes: Every road team is coming off of a single day away from the ice, while two home teams will be nice and refreshed. Florida has a two-day advantage over Dallas, and Edmonton has a whopping five days off before they face the Hurricanes.
NHL Games on Thursday, December 7th
Rest | Away Team | Time | Home Team | Rest |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Buffalo Sabres | 7:00 PM | Boston Bruins | 3 |
1 | San Jose Sharks | 7:00 PM | Detroit Red Wings | 1 |
1 | Los Angeles Kings | 7:00 PM | Montreal Canadiens | 2 |

0 | Tampa Bay Lightning | 8:00 PM | Nashville Predators | 1 |
1 | Anaheim Ducks | 8:30 PM | Chicago Blackhawks | 1 |
2 | Philadelphia Flyers | 9:00 PM | Arizona Coyotes | 2 |
0 | Carolina Hurricanes | 9:00 PM | Calgary Flames | 1 |

1 | New Jersey Devils | 10:00 PM | Seattle Kraken | 2 |
1 | Minnesota Wild | 10:00 PM | Vancouver Canucks | 1 |
Rest Notes: Lots of back-to-backs and extended runs here. Dallas, Tampa, and Carolina are all on back-to-backs, while Buffalo, Nashville, Chicago, and Colorado are all playing their fourth in six. Toronto has a three-day rest advantage heading into their second home rink in Ottawa, and Buffalo’s 4-in-6 gives Boston’s two-game rest edge just a little more juice.
NHL Games on Friday, December 8th
Rest | Away Team | Time | Home Team | Rest |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | St. Louis Blues | 7:00 PM | Columbus Blue Jackets | 0 |
1 | Pittsburgh Penguins | 7:00 PM | Florida Panthers | 1 |
0 | Minnesota Wild | 9:00 PM | Edmonton Oilers | 1 |
Rest Notes: Everyone here is on a pretty quick turnaround, either coming in on a back-to-back or a single day’s rest. Slight edges to the Blues and Oilers, but nothing too out of the ordinary.
NHL Games on Saturday, December 9th
Rest | Away Team | Time | Home Team | Rest |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Arizona Coyotes | 1:00 PM | Boston Bruins | 1 |
1 | New Jersey Devils | 4:00 PM | Calgary Flames | 1 |
2 | Vegas Golden Knights | 4:00 PM | Dallas Stars | 1 |
1 | Montreal Canadiens | 7:00 PM | Buffalo Sabres | 1 |
1 | Ottawa Senators | 7:00 PM | Detroit Red Wings | 1 |
1 | Nashville Predators | 7:00 PM | Toronto Maple Leafs | 1 |
3 | New York Rangers | 7:00 PM | Washington Capitals | 1 |
1 | Los Angeles Kings | 7:30 PM | New York Islanders | 1 |
0 | St. Louis Blues | 8:00 PM | Chicago Blackhawks | 1 |
1 | Philadelphia Flyers | 9:00 PM | Colorado Avalanche | 1 |
1 | Tampa Bay Lightning | 10:00 PM | Seattle Kraken | 1 |
1 | Carolina Hurricanes | 10:00 PM | Vancouver Canucks | 1 |
Rest Notes: Every home team in this day’s schedule is coming off a single day off. Dallas is playing their third day in four nights. On the visiting end of the ice, St. Louis is playing in a back-to-back that doubles as a three-in-four, and Tampa and Carolina are both playing their third-in-four.
NHL Games on Sunday, December 10th
Rest | Away Team | Time | Home Team | Rest |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Florida Panthers | 1:00 PM | Columbus Blue Jackets | 1 |
0 | New Jersey Devils | 4:00 PM | Edmonton Oilers | 1 |
0 | Washington Capitals | 7:00 PM | Chicago Blackhawks | 0 |
0 | Nashville Predators | 7:00 PM | Montreal Canadiens | 0 |
0 | Los Angeles Kings | 7:00 PM | New York Rangers | 0 |
2 | Winnipeg Jets | 8:00 PM | Anaheim Ducks | 2 |
1 | Minnesota Wild | 9:00 PM | Seattle Kraken | 0 |
2 | San Jose Sharks | 10:00 PM | Vegas Golden Knights | 0 |
Rest Notes: A lot of back-to-backs to wrap up the week’s schedule, including three double matchups. San Jose has the biggest individual game advantage here with two days’ rest over Vegas’ none. Outside of the back-to-backs, Columbus and Minnesota are playing their third game in four nights, and Chicago and Nashville are playing their sixth game in nine nights, a workload that’s definitely nicer to read than it is to play.
