Using keyword sentiment analysis of Google Map reviews, Canada Sports Betting highlighted mentions of dirtiness and neglect showing that rolling the dice might come with a side of grime.
How We Measured Filthiness
To uncover the filthiest casinos in Canada, we developed a filthiest casino score based on:
- Data Collection: We began by compiling a comprehensive list of casinos in Canada from Casinos Avenue. Each location was then pinpointed on Google Maps for further analysis.
- Keyword-Driven Sentiment Analysis: We conducted an analysis of the reviews for keywords indicating uncleanliness, such as “dirty,” “grimy,” “smelly,” and “unsanitary,” among others.
- Flagging and Scoring: Reviews containing any of the identified terms were flagged. The percentage of such flagged reviews was calculated to determine each casino’s filthiness score on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 representing the dirtiest environment.
We analyzed a list of casinos from Casino Avenue. A total of 61 casinos were scraped and analyzed. The higher the score, the more filthy the casino.
