The team matches will be displayed here once available
Originally founded in 1988 as an expansion team, the Charlotte Hornets relocated to New Orleans following 2001-2002 season. The NBA gave Charlotte a new team in 2004, the Bobcats. In 2013, New Orleans rebranded itself to the Pelicans and returned the Hornets’ name, records and official history back to Charlotte. During the start of the 2014-2015 season, they officially renamed themselves back to the Hornets. As a fairly underexposed team, there is plenty of betting value to be found in “Buzz City”.

Bet On Charlotte Hornets’ Games
To bet on the Charlotte Hornets, go to your favourite sportsbook and you will notice two types of numbers: a negative number like -150 and a positive number like +130. The -150 indicates the favourite to win the NBA game and a bet of $150 will return $100. The underdog is +130 and $130 is won on a $100 bet. Favourites are considered less risky thus a smaller return and underdogs are considered riskier thus a larger return.
Hornet Hopefuls: after initially struggling for their first four years as a franchise, the Hornets quickly picked up the pace and never had a losing season until they relocated to New Orleans in 2001. Despite their winning ways, the franchise has never won a division title or finished higher than the 4th seed although they’ve advanced to the second round in half their playoff appearances. They are one of only three NBA teams (the Pelicans and Los Angeles Clippers) that have yet to experience making a Conference Final.
Bad Kitties: as good as the Hornets are, the Bobcats were another story. In their ten years as the Bobcats, they finished in the bottom three of the conference six times and only had had two winning seasons, in which they were swept in the first round of the NBA playoffs. In 2011-2012, they set an NBA record for futility with a 10.6 winning percent.
Low-scoring games: another type of bet to play with the Hornets maybe their team totals or over/unders. Instead of predicting the winner, you predict if the combined score between the Hornets and their opponent goes over or under the given number. If the number is 210.5 you pick whether the two teams’ scores go over or under it regardless of who wins the game. Team totals may be good to play for a team like the Hornets, which has been very good defensively but lacklustre offensively in recent years.
