Bet On Columbus Crew’s Games
The Crew is one of the original MLS teams and has now played in the competition for over twenty years. In this time period, they have experienced moderate success, earning the Supporters’ Shield on three occasions including their sole MLS Cup triumph in 2008. They have also made three US Open Cup Finals, again with the one victory in 2002. With the influx of several expansion teams since the inauguration of the league, The Crew have struggled to repeat their earlier success and are due for a tilt at the title. You will find very tantalizing odds across all Columbus betting lines so make sure you jump aboard the Crew bandwagon while they are still considered outsiders.
The Crew’s main nemesis is the Chicago Fire due to the relatively short trip up the highway from Columbus to the Windy City. This rivalry extends as far back as 1998 when the two sides were due to meet in Virginia Beach for a US Open Cup Final. The game was postponed due to a hurricane and controversially relocated to Soldier Field in Chicago; the Fire went on to win the match in extra time. Since then they have met in plenty of big games and fans of either side will look at this matchup first when new season schedules are released.
As an experienced bettor, you will know that rivalry games are the best time to place a wager as more punters throw money on their favourite and odds are skewed. Take advantage of this fixture when considering the Crew and you could be in for a heavy windfall.
Columbus also competes with Toronto FC for the Trillium Cup, named after the floral emblem that represents both the province of Ontario and the state of Ohio. Columbus has a superior record in this fixture, so it is worth considering this when the two sides line up. The great news is that there are always hundreds of different betting options available every matchday, so if you have done your analysis and chosen your sources wisely, you’re likely in for a winning weekend!
