John McKinnis is a multimedia journalist who graduated from Robert Gordon University in Scotland in 2013. John writes about all sports and gambling-related topics, but his clear favorite is ice hockey. Not a fan of any NHL team, he follows the franchises with most Canadian skaters. For John, the best piece of sports journalism is either David Foster Wallace's New Yorker piece Roger Federer as Religious Experience or ESPN's 30 for 30 documentary The Two Escobars. He also gets inspiration for his stories from podcasts like Hang Up and Listen and Planet Money.
