The Toronto Raptors will take an ugly seven-game losing streak into Wednesday’s contest with the Sacramento Kings at Scotiabank Arena.
Toronto, missing several key starters, fell 111-96 to the Orlando Magic on Sunday and will now play two home games against tough Western Conference opponents. The Oklahoma City Thunder are scheduled to visit Toronto on Friday and they’re currently tied for the best record in the West.

Sabonis has been outstanding this season for the Kings and he enters this contest with a streak of 50 consecutive games with at least a double-double, becoming just the 10th player in NBA history to achieve the feat. Since Dec. 1, Sabonis is averaging 20.6 points (61.6 FG%), 14.3 rebounds and 8.8 assists per outing. He leads the NBA in rebounds per game (13.7) and total rebounds (717). Sabonis also ranks sixth in assists per game (8.3) while tallying the third-most total assists (438). He’s the only player since the 1975-76 season to average 20 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists per game on 60.0% shooting over a 50-game span.
Unfortunately, there’s no value in betting on a Sabonis double-double in this one at -2200 odds.

The Raptors are plummeting down the standings thanks to their current seven-game losing streak, but they still have a long way to go to reach the basement in the Eastern Conference with the Charlotte Hornets, Detroit Pistons, and Washington Wizards.
Winning games isn’t a priority for the hobbled Raptors right now, and the emphasis will continue to be on letting some of the younger, unheralded players on the roster eat up minutes and audition for roles in the future.
At least five Raptors have scored in double figures in a season-high 12 straight games, including Sunday evening in Orlando where Jordan Nwora led the way recording a team-best 18 points. Nwora has now scored in double digits in four of the last five games, averaging 11.8 points, while shooting 56.1% from the field and 40% (8-20) from three-point range.
