NHL Games on Wednesday, Jan. 31
Rest | Away Team | Time | Home Team | Rest |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Ottawa Senators | 7:00 PM | Detroit Red Wings | 3 |
2 | Los Angeles Kings | 7:30 PM | Nashville Predators | 1 |
0 | San Jose Sharks | 10:00 PM | Anaheim Ducks | 3 |
Rest Notes: The Ducks have a huge advantage over their California rivals, carrying three days of rest into a road back-to-back for San Jose. Both other games include slight edges as well.
Get Ready For All-Star Weekend
With that, our game schedule ends for the week at just six games in three days. Jarring, right? This is because this weekend is All-Star Weekend in the NHL, as the league’s best converge on Toronto and Scotiabank Arena for a few days of festivities. We’ll have plenty of coverage of the skills competition and actual game here on CSB later this week!
You might ask why that impacts the start of the week, and the answer is that many teams are taking on their “bye weeks” over the course of this week and the start of next. It’s rest and relaxation time almost entirely across the board, which means no games between Thursday and Sunday, and no heavy days until next Tuesday.
