It’s now a best-of-three series between the Los Angeles Kings and Edmonton Oilers.
Edmonton erased a three-goal deficit and Zach Hyman scored in overtime to lift the Oilers to a thrilling 5-4 victory in Game 4 on Sunday night and even the Western Conference quarterfinal series at two games apiece.
Hyman unleashed a wicked wrister from the circle that found the top corner of the net at 10:39 of the overtime period to complete the comeback and give Edmonton some momentum in the series heading into Game 5 at home on Tuesday.
Los Angeles took a 3-0 lead into the first intermission, but the Oilers netted three unanswered goals in the second period to pull even heading into the third period. Matt Roy put the Kings back up by a goal early in the third period, but Evander Kane answered with just over three minutes remaining to tie the game at 4-4.
The Oilers are -235 favourites on the moneyline in Game 5 and the total is set at 6.5 goals.

Could this series be any closer? Three of the last four games have needed overtime to be resolved, with Game 2 being the only contest that was decided in regulation. But that game also came down to the wire before Kane put the Oilers up by a pair of goals with an empty-netter late in the third period.

About the Kings (2-2 SU, 3-1 ATS, 2-2 o/u)
The Kings had to be feeling good about their chances in the series after going up 3-0 in the first period of Game 4, but now they find themselves in a difficult position with the Oilers having home advantage (Game 5 and Game 7) the rest of the way.
However, the good news is that Kevin Fiala returned for Game 4 after being out since April 1 with a knee injury. He immediately made an impact, notching two assists (one of them on the power play) in the 5-4 loss. Fiala’s 72 points in 69 games were the second-highest point total on the team this season behind Anze Kopitar’s 74.
Player to watch: Adrian Kempe
Kempe has been solid for the Kings in the series, recording three goals and two assists through four games. He also has eight goals and four assists in his last seven games. The Kings centre is +190 to score, -175 to record at least a point, and +155 to record an assist in Game 5.
About the Oilers (2-2 SU, 1-3 ATS, 2-2 o/u)
The unlikely hero in Game 4 for the Oilers was Jack Campbell, who came on in relief after Stuart Skinner was pulled after one period, to stop 27 of the 28 shots he faced and keep Edmonton in the game. One of those saves came with five minutes remaining in the third period on a Viktor Arvidsson breakaway that could’ve put Los Angeles up by a pair of goals.
Edmonton signed the netminder to a five-year, $25 million deal in the summer of 2022 with the hopes Campbell would be the goaltender that could lift the team to Stanley Cup glory. However, Campbell had a miserable regular season, posting a 3.41 GAA and .888 SV%, which resulted in him losing the goal to Skinner. Oilers coach Jay Woodcroft has yet to name his starting goaltender for Game 5, but logic dictates that Campbell will likely be between the pipes for a crucial Game 5.
Another crucial component of this playoff run for the Oilers is Leon Draisaitl, who is literally carrying the team offensively. The German has been on the ice for each of the Oilers’ 14 goals in the series, and he’s recorded five goals and four assists himself in the process. Draisaitl is -105 to score, -120 to record two or more points, and -230 to record an assist.
Player to watch: Evan Bouchard
The Oilers pointman has seven points in the series and is coming off a three-point performance in Game 4. He also has at least a point in seven straight games and nine of his last 10.

In fact, he’s been so automatic that bet365 doesn’t have a market for Bouchard power play points posted as of Tuesday morning. He’s notched a power play point in every game of the series to this point.
- Trevor Moore over 0.5 points: +110. Moore has points in three straight games and five of his last six. He’s also been seeing time on the team’s second power play unit.
