Atlanta Hawks’ Odds

The next game of the Atlanta Hawks is listed here, along with their opponent and their betting lines, as well as all the NBA Odds. The game result will also be posted so check back to get an update.

The team matches will be displayed here once available

First established as the Tri-Cities Blackhawks in 1946, the franchise relocated twice before finally settling in Atlanta in 1968 to become the Atlanta Hawks. The franchise has the second-longest championship drought in the NBA at over 57 seasons and they went 48 straight years without advancing past the second round in the NBA playoffs until 2015. In recent years, the Hawks have been perennial playoff contenders despite lacking a true superstar. Notwithstanding their inconsistency, the Hawks hold a lot of value for gamblers.

Atlanta Hawks’ Standings

Here are the NBA standings for all teams. In addition to wins and losses, their points for (+) and points against are listed. Bookmark this page and keep updated with this table. These will have a direct impact on the Atlanta Hawks’ Championship odds.

Bet On Atlanta Hawks’ Games

You can bet on the Atlanta Hawks in many ways but you’ll have to master the money line. In this type of bet, you outright pick the winner of an NBA game. The prices for the teams manifest as either a negative (-) or a positive number (+) indicating favourite and underdog, respectively. For instance, we have -135 and +120. A -135 means a $135 bet will return $100 while +120 means a $120 is returned on a standard $100 bet.

Second best: despite generally fielding a deep and talented roster, the Hawks couldn´t quite win the division. Since the Southeast Division’s establishment in 2004, the Hawks have only won the division twice in 2015 and in 2021. They finished twice five times including losing a tiebreaker to the Miami Heat in 2016. Between 2008 to 2016 the Hawks have finished anywhere from 1st to 8th indicating a team that is very difficult to predict each season.

Draft Disasters: a big reason why the Hawks have struggled as a franchise has been because of their inability to select or retain all-star players in the NBA Draft. Since 1980, the Hawks have drafted only four players who have been chosen to play in an NBA All-Star Game. Jeff Teague and Al Horford are the only All-Star Hawks to have been drafted since Kevin Willis in 1984.

Spreading the Hawks: if you can’t find value on the Hawks as a money line bet, try playing them on the point spread. This system aims to balance the difference between the favourite and the underdog by allotting a set amount of points for either team to cover. If the Hawks have -5.5 on their spread, it means they have to win by over six points so if the 5.5 is deducted, they still win or “cover”. On the flip side, a +3.5 spread indicates they can lose by up to three points because adding the 3.5 will make them cover.
