Milwaukee has been one of the NBAโ€™s smallest franchises since its establishment in 1968. But despite their low-key demeanour, they have won an NBA title and have hosted legends like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson. The franchise has spent most of its years as a playoff contender but nowhere near a title. But with Giannis Antetokounmpo as their new franchise superstar, the Bucks are nearing another golden age.

The Milwaukee Bucks finals odds are constantly being updated, so be sure to check for the latest markets as the season progresses. The Vegas odds for the Milwaukee Bucks are always the best indicator of what bettors will find across major sportsbook providers.

Milwaukee Bucks’ Standings

The NBA moves quickly, and it can be easy to lose track of the Bucks. This standings table lays out the overall NBA standings plus what the Milwaukee Bucks championship odds will look like. Relevant data like points for and against are shown, and you can use the tabs to separate home and road games.

Milwaukee Bucks’ Franchise History

One player can change the future of a franchise. Milwaukee is a perfect example of this. In only their second year, the Bucks won 56 games on the back of Hall of Famer Lew Alcindor, better known as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The following year, they won their first and only NBA Championship.

Even following Abdul-Jabbar and fellow Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson’s departures, Milwaukee managed to stay relevant as a franchise and enjoyed winning seasons from 1979-80 to 1990-91. They appeared in multiple conference finals though never quite got to the championship form they had.

After a dark period in the ’90s where the franchise would flounder, Milwaukee finally returned to the NBA playoffs in the lockout-shortened 1999 NBA season. This was the short-lived but fruitful Ray Allen era.

Milwaukee would come within one game of the NBA Finals in the 2000-01 NBA season, which also marked the last time they won a playoff series.

From 2001 to 2018, the Bucks failed to win a playoff series and only made the playoffs in consecutive seasons once. They alternated between having a winning season to a losing one and rarely had enough talent to sustain long-lasting competency.

But that’s all changing as the new Bucks have the makings of a future NBA Champion. With Antetokounmpo, the Bucks have a superstar who could dominate the game just like Abdul-Jabbar did. And now with a new coaching staff and supporting stars, is Milwaukee’s time to make a run.

When looking at the Milwaukee Bucks odds to win the NBA championship, often start the season in a strong position. A lack of performance in the off-season has left the Bucks short on a number of occasions. The Milwaukee Bucks odds will fluctuate throughout the season, as certain teams climb closer to the top of the pile, but they are likely to always remain in contention.

As the current reigning champions of the NBA, the Milwaukee Bucks have finally found their groove again!

Betting On Milwaukee Bucks Games

Once upon a time, Milwaukee was a sneaky underdog bet. But now, they’re on their way to becoming a “chalk” team thanks to how good they’ve looked. Expect the Bucks to consistently be a double-digit favourite for many games to come barring a significant trade or injury.

Betting on the Bucks can be done in many ways, fortunately. It starts with the simplest way to bet:

Money line: also referred to as โ€œstraight-upโ€ (S/U) betting, this is when you bet on the Bucks (or their opponent) to win the game regardless of how many points.

A minus number like -200 means the Bucks are a favourite, and you need a bet of $200 to profit $100.

A plus number alternatively means Milwaukee is an underdog, and a $200 profit is returned on a $100 bet.

Since Milwaukee will usually be a favourite, you’ll need to spend a fortune to make some change. “A win is a win” many say, but there is an alternative to profiting off the Bucks without breaking the bank.

Point Spread: is when you bet on the Bucks to cover a points handicap aka the “spread”; in exchange, they will be lined at a pick’em price giving you more return on your investment.

A minus number like -7.5 indicates the Bucks are a favourite and must win by more than 7.5 points (8 or more) to โ€œbeat the spreadโ€. This is because 7.5 points are deducted from their final score.

A plus number like +7.5 indicates Milwaukee is an underdog and can lose by no more than 7.5 points to beat the spread. This is because 7.5 is added to their final score.

How well the Bucks beat the spread will be listed as their against the spread (ATS) record. It is best to check this as many NBA teams are good at winning, but not as good at beating the spread.

*Note: American odds are based on a $100 bet as a standard. It might be easier to calculate your return by converting the odds to either decimal (1.50) or fraction (1/2), which you can do in sportsbooks.

Recommended NBA Sportsbooks

Despite their “small market” status, Milwaukee is quickly becoming one of the NBA’s most popular franchises all thanks to the Greek Freak.

Antetokounmpo has the makings of a future Hall of Famer and if the franchise builds right around him, it could be similar to their 1970’s run with Abdul-Jabbar and Robertson.

The Bucks’ fanbase is quickly growing even outside Milwaukee. They have also become popular bets from fans who turn to these top online sportsbooksOn top of signup offers and extensive betting services, these books offer great customer service and are perfect for both seasoned and new gamblers.
