Ronaldo Rodriguez VS Ode Osbourne

Best odds on Rodriguez to win fight: bet365 (-138)
Best odds on Osbourne to win fight: Pinnacle (+129)

Kicking off the evening’s main card festivities with a battle between exciting flyweights, Mexico’s Ronaldo “Lazy Boy” Rodriguez will take on Ode “The Jamaican Sensation” Osbourne.

With both fighters sporting a history of finishing their matchups inside the distance, look for Rodriguez’s grappling skills to be the deciding factor in securing the win. After scoring the submission victory in his UFC debut against Denys Bondar, Rodriguez has proven he has a killer instinct on the ground that often leads to the tap.

Squaring off against Osbourne, who has lost back-to-back fights by way of submission, look for Rodriguez to remain undefeated in the UFC by notching his 6th career submission victory, scoring you a juicy payout on this main card opener.

Prediction: Rodriguez to win by Submission (+375 @ 888sport)

Daniel Zellhuber VS Esteban Ribovics

Best odds on Zellhuber to win fight: bet365 (-225)
Best odds on Ribovics to win fight: Pinnacle (+195)

In a terrific set of matchmaking, two of the most exciting prospects in the UFC lightweight division will come to a collision course as Mexico’s Daniel “Golden Boy” Zellhuber will take on Esteban “El Gringo” Ribovics.

While Ribovics has proven himself to be a dangerous finisher in the past, Zellhuber’s strategic and cerebral style will work to his advantage as he scores the decision victory.

Holding a considerable eight-inch reach advantage over his opponent, look for Zellhuber to keep Ribovics at a distance as he lands cleanly with his jab as he racks up damage while avoiding taking any big shots from the Argentinian striker.

In what should be a clean, dominant showing from Zellhuber, back him to extend his UFC winning streak to four and pick up the win on the judges’ scorecards at UFC 306.

Prediction: Zellhuber to win by Decision (+140 @ bet365)

Brian Ortega VS Diego Lopes

Best odds on Ortega to win fight: Sports Interaction (+160)
Best odds on Lopes to win fight: bet365 (-175)

Finally set for their showdown in the octagon after their previous bout scheduled at UFC 303 was cancelled the day of the event, Brian “T-City” Ortega will take on Diego Lopes in what could be the fight of the night.

Both combatants hold well-rounded skill sets that could land them a finish at any point throughout their matchup but look for Lopes’ knockout power to be on full display as he cracks Ortega’s chin and scores the knockout victory.

Lopes has proven to have heavy hands in his UFC tenure, scoring knockout wins over tough competition in Sodiq Yufuff and Pat Sabatini. Ortega will certainly have trouble matching up on the feet.

Ortega’s biggest strength comes from his grappling, an area that Lopes can easily match him in, forcing this fight to be a standup clash, a place that heavily favours Lopes.

Bank on Lopes to score yet another highlight reel finish as he looks to make quick work of the former featherweight title contender as he continues his meteoric rise throughout the division.

Prediction: Lopes to win by KO/TKO/DQ (+320 @ 888sport)

Alexa Grasso VS Valentina Shevchenko

Best odds on Grasso to win fight: Pinnacle (-135)
Best odds on Schevchenko to win fight: Pinnacle (+117)

Set to settle the score in their trilogy bout for the undisputed Women’s flyweight title, Alexa Grasso will look to defend the gold against all-time great Valentina “Bullet” Shevchenko.

With each of their previous two fights being extremely competitive, look for the third chapter of this rivalry to be no different. While Schevchenko has never managed to defeat Grasso, look for this to change at UFC 306 as she earns the decision victory, reclaiming her title in the process.

In both of their previous bouts, Shevchenko largely dominated the action. In their first clash, the Bullet held a 29-28 advantage heading into the third round before a spinning body kick was turned into a beautiful back-take transition from Grasso, leading to a rear naked choke victory to shock the MMA world.

While this is deservedly a great win for Grasso, it still shows that Shevchenko was leading the dance and was cruising to the win had it not been for one costly mistake.

Further adding fuel to this fire, Shevchenko was the victim of a total robbery in their rematch. The fight finished as a split draw, with one judge scoring the fight 48-47 Grasso, another 48-47 Shevchenko, and one 47-47. The 47-47 card was egregious, to say the least, as it scored a 10-8 round victory for Grasso in round 5, a round that was still competitive and certainly didn’t garner a need for a 10-8.

If this round had been scored 10-9 for Grasso, just as it had been for the other two judges, the fight would have been a split decision win in favour of Shevchenko.

Look for her to leave no doubts in this rubber match as Shevchenko cements her spot back atop the 125lb division, defeating Grasso and continuing to expand upon her legacy as one of the greatest fighters of all time.

Prediction: Shevchenko to win by Decision (+180 @ bet365)

Shevchenko to Win by Decision

Sean O’Malley VS Merab Dvalishvili

Best odds on O’Malley to win fight: Pinnacle (-132)
Best odds on Dvalishvilli to win fight: Sports Interaction (+115)

Capping off UFC 306 with a bang, the bantamweight World Championship is on the line as “Suga” Sean O’Malley will defend the gold against surging contender Merab “The Machine” Dvalishvili.

While Merab has taken the UFC world by storm with his constant offensive onslaught of grappling pressure, look for O’Malley to keep minimize his biggest strengths as he adds another highlight reel knockout to his stacked UFC resume.

Holding a massive size advantage at 135 lbs, O’Malley is a far bigger fighter than his opponent, holding a 4-inch reach advantage and a five-inch edge in height. With his superior length, O’Malley will have no trouble keeping his distance from Dvalishvili as he can land big strikes while staying out of reach of any takedown attempts from the challenger.

O’Malley proved his elite striking skillset is enough to neutralize a top-end grappler, as displayed in his title-winning performance after knocking out Dvalishvili’s teammate, Aljamain Sterling, to capture bantamweight gold.

Look for the same result to be the final outcome of this main event clash: Dvalishvili’s suspect chin will be exposed on the biggest stage, leading to a knockout victory for O’Malley as he writes the latest chapter in the “Sugar Era.”

Prediction: Sean O’Malley to win by KO/TKO/DQ (+175 @ bet365)
